Are you a single??Are you faced with the problem of spending yet another forthcoming weekend alone? Well, singlehood can be looked at in a different way. It does not necessarily have to be a feeling of unfulfilment or dissatisfaction. It can be seen as a time to grow and explore new things. It is essential to spend time with your own self and stay happy within yourself. Single hood is a state where a single adult is happy all by himself. She/he is not looking for a life partner, or a date or a committed relationship. It is a fulfilling feeling and makes a person feel happy. These people need not be against relationship; however their current relationship status is a result of their choice. They can begin a relationship if they find the right person, knowing that it would be an important decision in their life. Single hood, in many cases, also highlights a certain level of maturity and will power of not indulging in inferior relationships and looking forward only to serious commitments.

Learning to happy single, increases the opportunity to establish a successful relationship in the future. First, become a better person and have deep insights in you. Then decide to share your life with someone else. There are many ways to live life to the fullest without the partner. It is important to have a social circle and a selected group of people with similar interests. This will help you to indulge in activities and group work. You can always organize sports events, movie gatherings, holiday dinners, games at Local Park, brunches at restaurants or just go for a stroll. Also, if interested, initiatives can be taken for serious drives and campaigns such as cleanliness, aids awareness, ban on smoking etc. Such things add a purpose to your life and help you become a better human being.

Don’t Leave Home without These on a Date

There are some things you just cannot afford to leave behind when dating. Here’s a list to date by:

Mobile phone – This is primarily helpful in keeping in touch with your date should you need additional directions or if you are unavoidably delayed. It is also invaluable for women as a means of ensuring your personal safety.

Handbag or wallet with credit cards and money – Often men will pay the food and beverage and other expenses, but women should be prepared to spend as well while dating.

A note or Post-It detailing the address of your dating venue with directions to its location.

A single bud rose or a small posy – Men, please notes that this is a sweet, romantic touch that’s sure to please your love-interest.

If the weather is wet, carry an umbrella - There cannot be anything worse than extensive preparations being spoiled by rain. Being wet and cold is not conducive to an enjoyable dating experience.

Reserve tickets in advance and carry them with you - In case you are escorting your date to an event, don’t assume you can purchase tickets at the venue. You may be sorely disappointed.

Condoms - Both men as well as women should carry birth control, though neither should expect sex on the first date. Nevertheless, modern dating can produce such a scenario, so it’s better to go sensibly prepared.

Take along trust, common sense, and humor in equal measures – Don’t assume everyone of the opposite sex is just like your bad ex. Similarly, practical judgment will point to any red flags with regard to compatibility. Finally, you should be able to enjoy yourself even on a first date – laugh and relax.

Lastly, don’t leave your personality behind while dating.  Don’t suppress it out of fear or shyness. Relax, talk, and have fun.

Basic Dating Etiquette

The basic rules for dating aren’t complicated. It’s the same as having manners and being courteous to other people. There are some things that you have to remember – and not only because it’s a date and you wan tot make a favorable impression.

First off, treat your date with respect. Show up on time, whether you’re meeting at a prearranged time or you’re picking her up from home. Don’t stand up your date. If you have to cancel because of unavoidable circumstances, call the person, explain and apologize. You should also suggest another time and place to meet.

Make an effort to show that the date is important to you – dress appropriately. Don’t show up drunk – and, don’t drink excessively when you meet, either. Men: don’t order for her without asking, and if you’re out for dinner, consult her before ordering the wine. Ask him/her about his/her work and what their interests are. It’s also rude to constantly be on your phone or email when you’re out with someone. Give the other person your complete attention. If the call is really important, explain why you have to take it. Keep an open mind. It’s difficult for everyone to meet new people, so even if it’s a bit awkward in the beginning, keep the conversation going and make an effort at keeping things light. It’s just nice to make other people comfortable in your company.

Guys, if you had a great time, and you want to ask her out again, only then should you say you’ll call. Otherwise, thank her for the date, say goodbye and leave without saying you’ll be in touch. It’s better to end it right there rather than giving someone false hope. Also, even if you didn’t have a fantastic time, let a day or so go by before you decide not to meet that person again. And no matter what, never trash the person to your friends – you don’t know if you might bump into him/her again!
